SkyWatcher ESPRIT 120 ED telescope is an apochromatic refractor with 120mm diameter and 840mm of focal length f/7 ED triplet lens that SkyWatcher has designed to offer superior optical and mechanical performance in respect to the EVOSTAR series. The telescope is supplied with a 1,0x field flattener that doesn't change the focal length and provides a correct field for sensors up to Full Frame for astrophotography. The dew shield is retractable to make the ESPRIT 120 ED compact and easy to transport. It comes standard with a a lot of accessories: ESATTO 3" robotic microfocuser, 90° dielectric 50,8mm mirror diagonal, 9x50 finder, PLUS support rings and aluminum transport case. 3 years of warranty on the optical tube!

SkyWatcher ESPRIT 120 ED telescope has a Crayford focuser that doesn't offer a high load capacity so it is not recommended for long exposure astrophotography with heavy cameras or accessories. This special version of the Skywatcher ESPRIT 120 ED adds ESATTO 3", the new generation robotic focuser that you control by any Windows computer by connecting it to a USB port, or via WiFi by using ESATTO app on your smartphone or tablet with the Virtual HandPad! On the camera side, ESATTO has a M81x1 male thread to connect and manually rotate many cameras and accessories by adding the optional adapters with stop rings. ESATTO 3" has 25mm of focuser tube travel, a 8kg payload capacity and an incredible resolution of 0,04 micron per step (and this is why we call it ESATTO)! Based on the camera and accessories you want to connect, you may need extenders to reach the focus with your camera. And you can also expand ESATTO features by adding the ARCO robotic camera rotator!

PLUS: the best support rings for telescopes
In this kit we replace the standard rings with our PLUS rings which offer greater stability and compatibility with plates, guide rings, dovetail clamps and EAGLE to offer you maximum freedom in customizing your telescope. Indeed, all the PLUS elements have threaded holes, holes and slots suitable for connecting elements, always with maximum rigidity and comfort. Each component of the PLUS system is made of aluminum blocks that are high precision CNC machined. The aluminum is then sandblasted to achieve a very smooth surface finish and is anodized (hard anodizing) to increase the hardness of the material and protect it from oxidation.
Thanks to the 65mm (to be installed between tube and focuser) and 25mm (to be installed between focuser and camera) extension tubes included with the kit, you can reach the focus with the ESATTO 3" focuser. The kit includes the adapter to thread the 1,0x field flattener to the ESATTO 3" focuser.

The included 1,0x flattener enables you to get a large corrected field in order to use cameras with sensors up to Full Frame. By adding EAGLE to the SkyWatcher ESPRIT 120 ED telescope you can remotely control and power any camera, mount and accessory for astrophotography, using any of the most advanced astronomical software for Windows (you can install in the EAGLE the software you prefer) and converting your SkyWatcher ESPRIT 120 ED into the most advanced robotic telescope.
