SPIDER 300A installed close to Dr. Karl Remeis-Sternwarte in Bamberg
We installed one of our SPIDER 300A advanced radio telescopes in Dr. Karl Remeis Observatory for the Astronomy Institute of Erlangen-Nuernberg University in Bamberg, Germany. The radio telescope is composed by the 3 meter antenna with computerized weatherproof mount installed in front of the observatory and the 1420 MHz H142-One radio astronomy receiver installed in the astronomy institute, where users can control the radio telescope and acquire data by using the RadioUniversePRO software.
We shipped the radio telescope to the Observatory and PrimaLuceLab team performed the Installation Service, as you can see in the pictures below.
After we completed the installation and checked all the connections from the field antenna to the remote control room in the institute, we introduced the use of the radio telescope with the RadioUniversePRO.
At the end of the day, we had the radio telescope ready to work, let’s start radio astronomy!
